Thank you.

Thank you so very much for making an original '79 Gundam entry.

'79 Gundam's mechs and characters are so freaking cool that I immediately vote 5's at it's presence on the portal. That show and the rest of the UNIVERSAL CENTURY SAGA completely, totally, and absolutely OWN the gay anime being made nowadays.

One of my side projects is a '79 Gundam flash, maybe one of these days I'll finish it.

Good work. Presented very well. I have a new one for my list of favorites.

Heh.

I found a cheat! Hold down "A" and Rammer masturbates! (really!)

Rammer responds:

wow. thats great. u make me want to puke, i mean whod want to see Ram masturbate? ur sick, ur really sick...and thats not a cheat, but there is one. im not telling though. (:

Balthor98's response:
No he doesn't. You think of a gay dont think that.

Brilliant.

Absolutely brilliant. I would put this in my favorites, but you've already got a massive amount of well-deserved exposure. For once a front page feature that I think certainly belongs there.

Great concept, half-assed execution.

Protected's first review of this submission points out the errors, I won't retype them. Also, that intro dragged on far too long.

I like Shakespeare and MacBeth, so I think it's cool that you made a flash about it. But make a better one next time.

this is the *only* Stick Skate that does NOT suck.

If it were possible to give you 20 for sound, I would. RUN DMC are the KING. (rip JMJ)

And the green tones made the stick visuals a lot more stylish than the usual black and white. I actually had fun with the moves, too.

Good Work, this deserves 3.25+ at least, too bad it's score was 2.30 when I voted. :(

ginster responds:

thanks

Wow.

I don't often give out a 10 for interactivity, but this one deserves a 20 because it felt just like playing a Kirby game. Great job. Often when people try to make platform action games in flash the jumps are too fast and the movement controls are too quick and responsive, this felt just right.

Glitches.

I liked this enough to play to the third level. Platform action can be fun.

However, on level 3 the game does not scroll up when you jump on the top platform, and thus you can't see Mario moving.

Improve it, fix glitches, and you may have a winner.

I'm sorry, Chrissy.

....but you were very *lucky* to score 3.77 and a daily 5th. Was the quality of Portal Submissions lower back then? I feel my own movie was considerably better than this, and it finished it's first day around 3.09 and was maybe the 15th to 20th best of the day.

That being said, I wish the dressup crap I blam daily on the portal could be more like this instead. Lots of outfits for everyone's different tastes, and fair drawing. She has well-presented breasts and nipples, for cartoon nudity. Good color and size as opposed to simple tiny pink circles or the almost disgustingly overdetailed ones usually seen in pro hentai art.

A more fair score for this would be in the 3.00-3.25 range. But hey, it's only my opinion that you don't deserve the acclaim.. you seem to have appealed well to the NG voting audience so more power to ya. ~_^

EmeraldTokyo responds:

Wow. You must be some kind of Genius to be able to calculate the exact score every movie deserves. Either that or a but who thinks he's the Roger Ebert of Newgrounds.

I believe, that the masses speak louder than any self proclaimed critic. I've seen a lot of movies flop at the box office, even though they had good plots, big name actors, and lots of fun special effects. Why? Because they were not executed properly. A lot of good movies turned into crap because the people who worked on it had a good idea, but they fell short. Where, someone like me can take a simple Idea, like say ... a Dressup, and actually make it work, and get good reviews on it. Save for the few asses who think they know everything.

So yes. I have appealed to my target audience. That is something they teach you when taking any artistic course in college. Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Musical Arts, or the Literary Arts. Realize who your target audience is. Make sure your work appeals to them. Or your work will be a failure! Thank you. I believe I've made my point. My score, speaks for itself. As does yours. It may have looked good and had a good idea behind it. You must have fell short in getting your audience interested.

I'll even admit. This isn't the best of my work. It was when I made it. I was just testing flash for what it was. Now that my skills have improoved, I have worked for months on my flash work. I'll submit when I feel the work is finished. I still ask myself if my audience will like it. Once I'm done, my work will blow even the most harsh critics, right out of the water. so, feel free to review my other work when it's out. I'd love to hear from you.

PS. Thanks for giving me a 7 rather than a 0 like most who feel my work shouldn't have the score it does.

DREAM FUCKING THEATER!!!!!!

I dislike UT and for the most part this movie was rather ugly to look at... it may get blammed.

But you used the intro to DT's THE MIRROR, one of the most bad-ass riffs of our time. Therefore you got an auto-5 from me.

PoisonD responds:

Dream Theater rocks :)) It might not be my fav band BUT I love what they are doing.

If the music entertained you, it means I reached my goal ;)

Cool!

I loved that game back in the day!
A friend of mine said he beat it, but I had caught on tape him saying he never beat it... we played it over and over again so he'd never live that down. It was a damn hard game.

I'm sure you know the glitches, like the vehicle always facing right when jumping, and the enemies always being dragged along with the scrolling.

Note: My "Favorite Flash Movies" are not necessarily my "favorites"; Instead I have chosen to feature lesser-known work that I believe deserves attention. Many of my true "favorites" are in the top 50 and get plenty of exposure anyway.
